Group D Preview (Nov. 24-25)
Porto vs. Chelsea
As Porto look to follow already qualified Chelsea into the last 16, coach Jesualdo Ferreira is plotting a route to trump Chelsea to top spot in the group. A win tonight in front of the bouncing Porto fans would put them in pole position to do so.
John Terry makes his 300th appearance as captain in what promises to be an historic night for Chelsea but they’ll have to do the job without former Porto right back José Bosingwa and talisman midfielder Frank Lampard. On the flipside their hosts have injuries notably between the sticks where Helton will miss out.
Player to watch: John Terry – on his 300th game you wouldn’t bet against him thumping home a trade mark header. Chelsea are looking to break records in the CL and he could certainly lead that charge.
Match prediction: Chelsea 2-2 Porto

APOEL vs. Atlético Madrid
The groups two strugglers go head to head this evening as under achievers Atlético Madrid take on minnows APOEL. Coach Ivan Jovanović has praised APOEL’s efforts this term and he’s challenged his charges to go and claim a win he feels they deserve. On the flip side Madrid are determined to secure a UEFA Cup spot so this one promises to be interesting.
Player to watch: Sergio Aguero – the Argentine hitman is flying and more goals should be expected from him as many of Europe’s top clubs take a closer look at the ‘Kun’.
Match prediction: APOEL 1-4 Madrid
Play Beautiful!
