Claudio Pizarro

Most football fans may know Pizarro best for his poor stint as part of Chelsea in the 07/08 season but that would be unfair. The Peruvian forward is a top class forward who has an excellent scoring record.

Pizarro is currently on loan from Chelsea to Werder Bremen and has revitalized his career with 15 goals in the Bundesliga this campaign. Unfortunately he probably will not have a home back at London due to his season with them last year.

The South American forward appeared in a Chelsea shirt 21 times and only found the net twice in his first season in the Premier League. It sounds worse than it is though as most of his appearances were off the bench in the dying minutes of games.

He was not the only striker who didn’t perform for the Blues. Andriy Shevchenko and Anelka both struggled that year. Suffice it to say that Pizarro is a dangerous front man and he might be back in England or Italy next season
