Grafite

55331883Edinaldo Batista Líbano, commonly known as Grafite, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for German side VfL Wolfsburg. He was transferred from Le Mans to Wolfsburg for 8 million euros in 2008 and has really come into his own with the side.

The 2008/09 season, Grafite became the top scorer of the Bundesliga with an impressive 28 goals in 25 appearances and in doing so played a crucial role in the club’s first ever Bundesliga title. Together with Edin Džeko, they formed the most successful strike duo in Bundesliga history.

Not only did he score 28 goals but he scored arguably the goal of the season which can be seen here: Goal of the Season

He has only played one game for Brazil and that was back in 2005 where he scored on his debut. This year he has made a strong case for his reinstatement and with his size and strength he would be the perfect complement to Robinho/Pato’s speed.
